Industrial Exoskeleton
The Industrial Exoskeleton is a motorized lumbar (lower back) exoskeleton designed to assist users in lifting or supporting loads. It helps reduce physical fatigue, enhance posture, support continuous assistance during tasks, and protect against back strain. Built with lightweight materials and a slim profile, it’s designed to be worn comfortably and used in industrial or manual labor settings.
Features
• Substantial load support: can assist up to 30 kg of load. • Lightweight design: the exoskeleton itself weighs about 5.6 kg, helping reduce wearer burden. • Battery-powered / electrically assisted drive. • Good battery life: 5 to 8 hours of operation. • Two active degrees of freedom (DOF) plus two passive DOF to allow flexible, human-natural movement. • Material build: engineering plastics, aerospace aluminium alloys, carbon fiber for strength and lightness. • Slim form factor: ~ 4 cm thickness in certain parts for minimal intrusion. • Speed & design enhancements: up to about 7.5 km/h assist speed in motion ‐ enabling reasonable mobility while wearing. • Safety / protection features: mechanical protection, software limits on movement and speed, battery protection (thermal runaway via BMS). • Smart / data features: wireless data communication, exoskeleton IoT motion data platform.
