Barrel Emptying System
A barrel emptying system is designed to efficiently extract medium to high-viscosity materials from barrels or containers with minimal residue. Using a follower plate and specialized pump technology, it ensures precise, clean, and waste-reducing transfer of fluids or pastes directly into production processes.

• Container compatibility: Works with vessels between ~5 L and 50 L. • Viscosity range: Handles media with viscosities up to ~7,000,000 mPas. • Removal performance / speed: Up to 810 mL/min (or ~80 rpm, depending on fluid) in its industrial variant. • High efficiency emptying: Achieves over 99 % emptying of container contents. • Gentle material handling: Progressive cavity pump ensures low shear and pressure-stable transfer. • Wall wiping & sealing: The follower plate’s wiping lip seals against container walls and clears residue. • Automatic bottom detection: Sensors detect when the plate reaches the bottom and stop the process. • Flexible across industries: Comes in “Industrial” and “Hygienic” versions for both general and regulated (food, pharma, cosmetics) use. • Materials & finish (hygienic variant): Uses FDA-compliant elastomers, stainless steel (e.g. 1.4404 / 1.4571), polished surfaces, and product-contact parts have roughness < 0.8 μm. • Protection rating: Standard IP54, with options for higher protection classes (e.g. IP67) on request.
